Company History
PMI Technologies is a twenty-two year-old company specializing in document imaging and information management systems. PMI Technologies was founded in 1981 as a Canon Micrographics dealer. The focus in the first years of operation was high-speed rotary cameras for check filming in banks, document filming in commercial businesses, and reader printers for all companies using microfilm, microfiche, and Computer Aided Retrieval (CAR) Systems.
Over time, the company built an extensive client base including financial institutions, universities, and government agencies, as well as more than 80% of the Fortune 500 companies in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and New York. Today, the company continues to service this customer base by providing ongoing maintenance contracts and new equipment sales.
In early 1989, PMI Technologies recognized the increasing demand for document management solutions and information management systems. As a result, the company broadened its product offering to include imaging products and services and now works in partnership with many of the leaders in the document management industry including Canon and Digitech Systems.
Our customers are primarily located in the Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Delaware and include financial institutions, universities, government agencies, and large corporations.
FW Dutton, Inc. was formed on January 6, 2005 for the purchase of the Micrographics and Conversion Services segments of PMI Technologies. The purchase was completed on February 18, 2005.
